History
Wirra Wirra was established in 1894 by Robert Strangways Wigley and revived in 1969 by cousins Greg Trott and Roger Harbord. Church Block, named after a vineyard near the local church, became one of Australia's best-selling premium reds. The wine is a Bordeaux-style blend of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, and merlot, crafted to be approachable and food-friendly. McLaren Vale has been producing wine since the 1840s and remains one of Australia's premier wine regions, known for its shiraz, grenache, and Italian varieties.
